Received Tony Awards for both On The Twentieth Century and Shenandoah. Tony nominations for On A Clear Day You Can See Forever (first starring role on Broadway), and Urinetown the Musical (most recent starring role). Television: Holling, bartender on "Northern Exposure," Mark Greene's father on "ER," "Law & Order," "Evening With Carl Sandburg" (Great Performances),"The Day After," "Touched by an Angel," "Inherit The Wind" (George C. Scott & Jack Lemmon). Film: The Secret Life of Algernon, 1776, Sweet Country, Marie, All the Way Home, The Prodigal, and Hawaii. He appeared in the Roundabout 50th anniversary production of Arthur Miller's All My Sons.
